Services and Medical Disclaimer
KNOT AWAY Clinic (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) provides professional therapeutic massage, remedial massage, and other manual therapy services (“Services”). Our services are for the purpose of pain relief, injury management, stress reduction, and general well-being.
Our therapists are highly trained professionals, but they are not medical doctors. The information provided on this Website and during our sessions is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this Website or been told during a session.
Appointments and Bookings
All appointments are subject to availability. Bookings can be made by phone or by email. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, to ensure fairness to all our clients and therapists, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.
- Notice Period: We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the scheduled service price.
- No-Shows: If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment without any prior notice, you will be charged the full price of the scheduled service.
This fee must be paid before any future appointments can be booked.
Late Arrivals
To ensure our clinic runs on time and respects the appointments of all clients, late arrivals may result in a shortened session. The full service fee will still apply for the originally booked time slot. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee the full session length if you are late.
Client Responsibilities
- Health Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information on your client intake form and to inform your therapist of any changes to your health status, including injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy. This is for your own safety and to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment.
- Conduct: Our clinic is a professional, therapeutic environment. Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances will result in the immediate termination of the session. The client will be liable for the full payment of the scheduled service and will be banned from booking future appointments.
- Hygiene: We maintain a high standard of hygiene and ask that clients also attend their appointments with proper personal hygiene.
Payment
Full payment is due at the time of your appointment. We accept payment by cash, credit card, or debit card. Prices for our services are subject to change without notice.
Confidentiality
All client information and records are kept confidential and are used solely for the purpose of providing you with the best possible care. Your personal information will not be shared with any third party without your express written consent, except as required by law.
Limitation of Liability
You understand and agree that KNOT AWAY Clinic and its therapists shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property arising from our services, especially in cases where the client has failed to disclose a known medical condition or has disregarded the advice of a medical professional or our therapists.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of KNOT AWAY Clinic and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Website without our prior written permission.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
