This combination of soothing warmth and expert touch is a beautifully gentle way to encourage your body's natural process and find relief without discomfort.
- Open Milk Ducts – just as heat helps to soften and relax tight muscles, it works to open constricted milk ducts, making it easier for milk to flow.
- Reduce Engorgement – warmth helps to soften the breast tissue, providing immediate relief from the pain and pressure of a full breast and promoting lymphatic clearance.

Our Treatment
Our therapists are specifically trained in lactation massage protocols, focusing on gentle, non-aggressive techniques to prevent tissue trauma. We understand the delicate nature of breast tissue and the importance of gentle touch. This is a therapeutic, compassionate, and non-invasive approach to support you in your breastfeeding journey, aiming to restore normal mammary function.
Clinical Safety Note: Mastitis
Massages must be avoided if you have any signs of acute mastitis (fever, red streaks, severe tenderness), as deep tissue manipulation could worsen the condition. We recommend consulting a Lactation Consultant or GP immediately if you have any of these symptoms. Our treatment is focused on prevention and relief of blockages before they develop into an acute infection.

Frequently asked questions
Is this massage safe?
Yes. When performed by a therapist who is professionally trained in this specific modality, it is a very safe, gentle, and effective way to manage common breastfeeding complications. We use no deep pressure and always work within your comfort.
Will the massage hurt?
The goal is always relief, not pain. The area may already be very tender from the blockage or engorgement. Your therapist will use gentle but effective pressure. Most clients describe the sensation as a "releasing" one, followed by a significant reduction in their pain.
What if I think I have mastitis?
If you have a fever, red streaks on the breast, or flu-like symptoms, it is essential that you see your GP immediately, as you may need antibiotics. This massage is an excellent complementary therapy to help clear the blockage (which is the root cause of mastitis), but it does not replace a medical diagnosis.
How is this different from a regular remedial massage?
This is not a muscle massage. It does not involve deep tissue work. The techniques are extremely specific and light, focused entirely on the breast tissue, milk ducts, and lymphatic system to promote drainage and flow, not to release muscle knots.
Will I be fully exposed?
No. Your privacy and dignity are paramount. You will only need to undress your upper half. You will be comfortably draped with a sheet or towel, and only the breast being worked on will be uncovered at any one time, in a secure and professional setting.
